Ghost of Tsushima is one of the most popular modern samurai games. Experience the complete Ghost of Tsushima experience in this remastered version, developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was first released in 2020 on PlayStation 4, and later on PlayStation 5, which added new content. A PC version was officially released in 2024.
The game takes place in Japan during the era of the samurai in the late 13th century, specifically during the First Mongol Invasion of Tsushima in 1274. The Mongol Empire, led by the ruthless and cunning General Khotun Khan, swept through entire countries in its campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island burns after the first wave of the Mongol siege.
Here comes the role of the brave samurai warrior Jin Sakai, one of the last survivors of the Sakai clan, who strives to protect his people and his island from the invaders. Jin is determined to do whatever it takes, no matter the cost, to protect his people and reclaim his homeland. Over time, Jin begins to abandon the strict traditions of the samurai and employs "shadow" (ghost) tactics, such as assassination and infiltration, to fight the enemy in ways dishonorable by samurai standards. He forges a new path—the path of the ghost—and wages an unconventional war for the freedom of Tsushima
